Exit strategy My exit strategy will be to eventually pass on the daily operations to a board of qualified individuals with a passion for community service. I will also be apart of this board so that I still has influence within the organization. Even in retirement from my main career I still see myself playing a role similar to this in the organization. I selected this option because this will allow me to focus on a career outside of my non-profit while still fulfilling the goals I set out to complete in the organization. I will probably serve as a board member during my retirement because I never enjoyed the idea of doing nothing work related during my retirement. Keeping myself at least somewhat invested into a project like this would make me happy.

27a (Carol Dweck)

Mindset Carol Dweck 1.This books main focus was to no surprise about people's Mindset. More specifically the Mindset if successful people. Dweck talks about the people who keep trying, keo practicing and eventually become a great success. The mindset she attributes to this kind of person is a "growth mindset". Dweck is fascinated by how impactful instilling the phrase "not yet", into struggling children can help with testing, learning, and overall success. She brings up examples of the teacher who brought a school from the bottom of the performance in their district to one of the best in the city testing wise.  2. I think this book relates well to the class because we focus a lot on changing our view of failure. It's important as an entrepreneur to embrace failure and learn how to do better from it. Someone with a fixed mindset would give up being an entrepreneur very quickly. 3. I think a great exercise for this class would be a take home project. ...

26a Failure

Failure- I failed to abandon habits of procrastination. Countless times this semester I have let studying wait till the last minute for exams. It has cost me better grades on a few of my tests. It has also caused me to develop bad habits of staying up late at night to get homework completed. I've tried setting reminders but they have ended up just becoming something I routinely ignore. It has in some areas allowed me to miss important deadlines in and out if school.  It's even harder now after my foot injury because I can't move as quickly as my now PACKED schedule demands. But it's only as packed as it is because of the things I out off in the last few weeks. In the long run it has made me more stressed.  I've learned that the harder and bigger the workload the less efficient putting off my work becomes. I learned that trying to do work and play in the same space is hard for me. Trying to get productivity done in the school library lately has been a help ...

Dorm room Pitch 3.0

https://youtu.be/4AxfDf_C8n4 Reflection: For this pitch I decided to change a couple things. My location and the horizontal camera where the most apparent visual changes I made. This was due to some of the professors critiquing of my second pitch. I also expounded upon my connections, and the nature of my organization.  Looking back I realized it was not clear that my org is a non profit.  I made efforts to correct this in this latest pitch. Please let me know any adjustments I should make!

21 A (Scott Adams)

How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big, Scott Adams The book has multiple great ideas about how to think about productivity, but I believe the main one comes from the quote "Goals are for idiots". Scott explains that systems are much more important than goals themselves. He believes that it is a better pursuit to be constantly working on a system that will get you to you goals rather than the goals themselves. Scott stats that goals are very limiting, and that people who focus on their system rather then the goals are happier because they can focus on daily wins. At the same time he believes goal oriented people are losers because whole they still have goals, they still haven't won. The book connected with me because much like the course, it's very focused on the process of your achievements and development of skills necessary for them. We have done many activities and lectures focused on the how, which is something I think Scott could appre...

20a Domain person I asked my mother to put me in contact with the person that runs a non for profit story competition that we go too every year. She was happy to answer any questions I had. I contacted her because one of her annual competition is between teenagers. So I figured her ability to get parents to pay for their kids to enter such a competition while being a non profit was somewhere in my domain. The woman herself is a theater lover who enjoys story telling. She is based out of Miami by the way. She works hard to get grants for her operation, and find great venues to hold competitions where she also tries to raise money for the organization. She does this through food and ticket selling. She's also teams up with cultural organizations before to help with certain themed story events. Market expert  This woman was a former figure in the Miami Dade County School board. She actually visited my highschool once in 10th grade and gave a speech at my graduation. I also ...

19a napkin

My name is Kai. I'm very dedicated to achieving I goals I set for myself. I work great in teams because I like using people's greatest skills instead of stretching myself thin by trying to take on everything. I want my non-profit to produce more volunteers to help those in need. I can see myself running this business for a long time. I'm solving the problem of parents in Miami Dade county who need experience, and volunteering hours for their kids. They care because they want their children to have experiences worthwhile, and they also want their kids to know why it is they are going to college. I'm familiar with members of the student board in Miami Dade, and I also personally know a few principals within the county as well. This will allow me to connect with highschoolers parents (I unfortunately missed the first napkin so I have no feedback to base this one on)
