Exit strategy
My exit strategy will be to eventually pass on the daily operations to a board of qualified individuals with a passion for community service. I will also be apart of this board so that I still has influence within the organization. Even in retirement from my main career I still see myself playing a role similar to this in the organization.
I selected this option because this will allow me to focus on a career outside of my non-profit while still fulfilling the goals I set out to complete in the organization. I will probably serve as a board member during my retirement because I never enjoyed the idea of doing nothing work related during my retirement. Keeping myself at least somewhat invested into a project like this would make me happy.

ReplyDeleteI think this would be a really good exit strategy for your type of business. I think it is important to always give back to the community no matter where you are in life. I chose employee buyout, but I would still want to have some part in my business when I am old.
